Susan Magasi, Principal Investigator Heading link

Susan Magasi is an assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy and the Department of Disability and Human Development in the UIC College of Applied Health Sciences.

Dr. Magasi’s research and teaching are focused on health care justice for people with disabilities. Specifically, she works closely with the disability community using an equity-focused, community-based participatory approach to help understand and address barriers to primary and cancer care, including access, quality and outcomes, for people with disabilities.

Dr. Magasi is the principal investigator of three intervention research studies that focus on the use of peer support to help promote healthcare justice for people with disabilities.
